Omega "Ed White 105.003-63" Speedmaster

Omega “Ed White 105.003-63” Speedmaster

Description

Up for grabs is a lovely example of a straight lugs Omega Speedmaster “Ed White”, so called as this was the same model worn by the famous astronaut, Mr. Ed White.  This example dates to 1963, with correct serial range for the reference (105.003-63).  The watch itself is in excellent vintage condition.  The case appears unpolished, albeit worn, with original beveled edges still visible; if it was ever polished, it was done lightly, and the underside of the case still feels sharp to the touch. The dial is in mint condition, with no marks, chips, or scratches.  The lume on the dial has aged to a nice yellow color, with original matching hands, with very light lume loss to the chronograph hand.    The original “DON” (Dot Over Ninety) bezel is in excellent condition, with a beautiful and even ghosted fade.
