Rolex "Gold 6265 Tiffany & Co." Daytona

SOLD

Rolex “Gold 6265 Tiffany & Co.” Daytona

SOLD

Description

Offered here is a very rare Rolex Daytona, given the reference 6265, and produced circa 1977-78.  This particular Daytona was produced in 14kt yellow gold for the American market, and was co-signed by the retailer Tiffany & Co., for exclusive sale in their NYC stores at the time.  Further, the condition of this rare Daytona is excellent.  First, the case is very strong and well-preserved, having been lightly polished a very long time ago, retaining thick and even lugs and developing a lovely and rich patina.  Next, the dial is immaculate, showing no visible flaws; likewise, the original tritium lume remains present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice cream color.  Last, the watch is fit on a matching 14kt Rolex C&I Rivet American market bracelet, dating to 1975; the bracelet has 11 full links and very minor stretch.
