Up for grabs is a very special watch – a Patek Philippe 130 chronograph, circa 1947. However, this is no ordinary reference 130: this particular example was fit with a very rare and desirable sector dial. On top of that, Patek housed in a stainless steel case, which Patek rarely did during this era (or any era for that matter). According to the Extract of the Archives, this watch was produced in 1947, and subsequently delivered in 1948.
For a watch of its age, this Patek Philippe 130 is very well-preserved. The case remains very strong, with thick and even/well-defined lugs, lightly polished in the past. The dial has aged gracefully, showing some light aging/wear; the hard enamel signature still remains raised with no loss to the text, and presents very attractively.
We fit the watch on a lovely Private Eyes steel bracelet, but can be changed for a leather strap, as requested.
