Up for grabs is a great example of the immensely popular Universal Geneve Compax, the so-called “Nina Rindt”, due to the famous model (and wife to racecar driver Jochen Rindt) being photographed wearing this reference. This example is a 2nd execution, with a painted Universal Geneve logo, and nicknamed the “Evil” Nina Rindt, as it is the inverse color combination of what Nina herself wore – black with white registers.
This Universal Geneve “Nina Rindt” is in excellent condition. The case is unpolished and blemish free, and the serial and reference numbers are still visible on the outside of the caseback. The dial is mint, with no visible wear. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color. The bezel is very clean, with very light wear from use.
