SOLD
Description
Offered here is a 1970s Heuer Autavia, Ref. 1163. This particular reference is nicknamed the “Viceroy,” as it was part of a widely successful marketing scheme with the tobacco manufacturer, Viceroy. As it goes, if you bought 10 packs of cigarettes, you could get this Heuer at half the listed price (50% off). This Heuer Viceroy Autavia is in incredible vintage condition. The case is razor sharp and unpolished, retaining its sunburst finish on top. The dial is beautiful, with absolutely no blemishes or major wear. Finally, the original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow. Also worth noting, the reference and serial numbers (27xxxx) are crisp between the lugs, with no marks.
