Angelus "Tropical Two-Tone" Chronodato

SOLD

Angelus “Tropical Two-Tone” Chronodato

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a downright stunning and rare Angelus Chronodato, Angelus’ popular triple-date chronograph, powered by their in-house Cal. 217 movement. This watch, under normal conditions would have been rare due to it being fitted with a two-tone olive and black dial, with gilt inlay. However, this watch is further enhanced by the fact that the olive portion of the dial has turned brown, or “tropical”, due to exposure to the sun/elements over the years.

This Angelus Chronodato is in amazing condition. The case is unpolished and very sharp. The original dial has aged a glowing caramel color, and only shows minor cracking by the 1 o’clock marker. The original lume is still present in both the hands and dial, and shows only minor loss at the base of the hour hand.
