Offered here is an exceptional 1980s Vacheron Constantin Automatic Perpetual Calendar wristwatch, given the reference 43031J, housed in 18kt yellow gold. These watches were clearly VC’s answer to the popular Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar reference 3940 and Audemars Piguet QP references of the same era, coming in at a similar sized in 36mm. The 43031 was produced for over a decade in just yellow gold and platinum, with only a few different dial variations/colors; the present example is fitted with a popular cream/”dore”-colored dial. Further, this watch comes complete as a full-set, with its original VC box, Warranty Card (dating the original sale to 1989), booklets, gold pin setting tool, and original gold VC tang buckle.
This Vacheron Constantin Perpetual Calendar watch is in excellent vintage condition. First, the case is strong, with crisp hallmarks and serial number still strong on the outside of the caseback. Further, the dial remains untouched, with no damage.
