Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner, circa 1979.  Tudor is better known as the “sister” brand to Rolex – originally formed as a more affordable alternative to that of a Rolex.  In recent years, Tudor has exploded in popularity amongst collectors, with prices often eclipsing those of their Rolex counterparts.  This example is a highly sought-after “Snowflake” Submariner, so-called for the snowflake-like appearance of the hour hand.

This Tudor Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case appears unpolished, with original bevels still visible.  The dial is in great condition, near perfect, save for one small mark above the 9 o’clock lume plot, visible at an angle.  The original tritium lume is present in both hands and dial, aged to a golden yellow.

The watch comes with a Rolex 78360 bracelet with 580 endlinks, with 12 links, an no stretch.
