Rolex “16750 Full-Set” GMT-Master

Description

Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master, Ref. 16750, circa 1981.  The reference 16750 was a transitional reference for Rolex, from the 1675, which introduced their new Caliber 3075 movement, and changed the date function to a quick-set.  Further, this example has a “matte” dial, which was transitional from the reference 1675, and used on the earlier version of the 16750s.  Further, this example comes complete as a “full-set”, including its original Rolex box, “punched” Warranty Certificate (originally sold in Hong Kong in 1982), and Rolex Calendar card and booklets, and hangtag (with serial).

This Rolex GMT-Master is in great vintage condition.  The case been polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs. The dial is in great condition, with no chips, scratches, or marks.  The dial retains its original tritium lume, aged to a lovely yellow color; the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial.

The watch comes equipped on an original Rolex Oyster 78360 bracelet, with 580 endlinks, and has 11 full links with light stretch.
