Offered here is an excellent example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680. This Submariner has a serial of 50xxxxx, dating it to 1978. The watch comes fitted on a flip-lock thick bracelet, with 93150/580 endpieces/endlinks, 10 links in total, and with minimal stretch.

This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, but shows thick and even lugs, and original bevels still visible. The dial is perfect, devoid of any flaws whatsoever. The hands are early tritium replacement hands, and they are a shade lighter than the original and beautifully aged yellow plots on the dial. The bezel insert is period correct for the reference and presumably original to the watch, with the pearl aged similarly to the dial.
