Description
Up for grabs is a rare Rolex Oyster Chronograph, nicknamed as part of the “Pre-Daytonas”, due to its production before the famous Daytona line. This Rolex Chronograph, the Reference 6234, was produced between 1954 to 1961, preceding the Reference 6238. This one dates to 1960, and has the popular 3-color layout, with outer tracks in black and blue against a white dial.
This Rolex Chronograph is in great vintage condition. The case has been polished in the past, but still has thick lugs. The dial is very attractive, with some aging/patina, uniform across the dial; the dial has no scratches, marks, fading, etc. The original radium lume is present in both dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow color. The watch comes fitted on its original Rolex stretch rivet American C&I bracelet, dated to 1958. The bracelet is in immaculate condition, with no stretch, and 12 full links.
