Description
Offered here is a Rolex GMT-Master, Ref. 16758, in 18kt Yellow Gold, circa 1984. The Reference 16758 is transitional from the Reference 1675, upgraded with a sapphire crystal and Caliber 3075 movement, and introduced the quick-set function to the GMT line. These watches came fitted with a variety of dials, with the brown “nipple” dials being favored most by collectors.
The condition on this gold GMT-Master is very good. The case has been previously polished, but retains thick and even lugs. The gloss brown nipple dial shows no damage, and has aged to a unique tropical-lava color. Further, the original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice cream color. The watch comes fitted on its original Rolex Swiss Jubilee bracelet, appears fully linked, and has medium stretch.
