Up for grabs is an extremely rare Cyma chronograph, circa 1940s, housed in a large, 38mm “clamshell” case, patented by Gallet as the first waterproof chronograph case. This example is powered by the Valjoux 22 movement, and features a very uncommon two-color gilt black, gilt, with an outer pulsations scale around the edges of the dial. This Cyma chronograph is in excellent condition. The case does not appear polished, and if it ever was, it was polished lightly. The dial is in great condition, still retaining its factory gloss, with no major wear or damage. Overall this is an exceptionally rare watch, with only 3 examples known, and is incredibly attractive on its own.
