Up for grabs is a very rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak perpetual calendar, produced in 1994, housed in stainless steel, reference 25654ST. The 25654 was the successor to Audemars Piguet’s first reference Royal Oak perpetual, the reference 25554. Of the 800 pieces produced under the 25654 reference, only 272 were made in steel, making it rarer than gold! This particular Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar was fit with a possibly unique block “gloss” MK1 “Small logo” print dial. These lacquer black dials are virtually impossible to find, and this is the only example we ourselves know to exist (although its possible more exist or were produced). The watch comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the maker, prepared in 2020 and specifically mentioning the lacquered dial. Please Note: the certificate is currently located overseas with the prior owner, and will be delivered to buyer upon receipt.
Further, the condition of this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak perpetual calendar is excellent, retaining a sharp case with defined beveled edges, and a perfect, blemish-free dial. The bracelet is likewise in great condition, with virtually no stretch, and will fit an approximate 7.2″ wrist.
