Description
Up for grabs is a Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner, circa 1980. Tudor is better known as the “sister” brand to Rolex – originally formed as a more affordable alternative to that of a Rolex. In recent years, Tudor has exploded in popularity amongst collectors, with prices often eclipsing those of their Rolex counterparts. This example is a highly sought-after “Snowflake” Submariner, so-called for the snowflake-like appearance of the hour hand.
This Tudor Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case has been previously polished, with original bevels still visible. The dial is in great condition, with no flaws visible. The original tritium lume is present on the dial, aged to a golden yellow, and the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial.
The watch comes with a Rolex 93150 bracelet with 580 endlinks, and has 11 links with very light stretch/wear.
