Meylan “Decimal” Chronograph

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is the popular Meylan “Decimal” chronograph, circa 1960s, fitted in a large 38mm steel case and rotating bezel.  These watches were produced by the Meylan Stopwatch Corp., these watches have gained popularity over the years for their sturdy and unique designs, reminiscent of the Gallet MultiChron Pilots, Zodiac Sea-Chrons, as well as a few others.  Further, they were powered by a Lemania Cal. 1873 workhorse movement, and have remained reliable watches over the years.

This Meylan chronograph is in excellent vintage condition.  The case is unpolished and razor sharp, with original beveled edges.  The dial is devoid of any flaws or major wear; likewise, the original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow color.  Finally, the rotating bezel has aged to a nice faded blue hue, and shows virtually no wear.
