Description
Up for grabs is a lovely example of the popular “Root Beer” Rolex GMT-Master, reference 1675, in two-tone steel and yellow gold, circa 1978. This example features the so-called “nipple” dial, due to the smaller hour markers, with an iridescent sunburst finish.
The Rolex GMT-Master offered here is in great vintage condition. The case appears unpolished, with sharp, original bevels. The dial is gorgeous, with no chips, scratches or marks. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a lovely pale creamy color. The watch comes fitted on a later Rolex Swiss Jubilee 62523H bracelet and 455B endlinks, with very light stretch. The bracelet will fit an approximate 7.5″ wrist.
