SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a very rare and striking pump-pusher Rolex Daytona, reference 6262, produced circa 1969. The reference 6262 was only produced for approximately one year between 1969 and 1970, and is one of the lowest production manual-wind Daytonas. This particular example features a “panda” dial (white with contrasting black registers), aged in the registers to a lovely tropical color.
This Rolex Daytona is in great vintage condition. The case was likely lightly polished in the past, but shows thick and even lugs, with no signs of overpolishing. Further, the panda dial is mint, with no visible flaws, and the registers have aged to a nice dark brown or “tropical” color. Likewise, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, with no major loss throughout (some minor loss to the 3, 4, and 10 o’clock plots, which is common). The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Swiss stretch-rivet 7205 bracelet with 57 endlinks, and dates to 1969, and has 11 full links with no stretch.
