Offered here is a very attractive example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680. This Submariner has a serial of 52xxxxx, dating it to 1977. Additionally, the watch comes complete as a full-set, including its original Rolex box, “punched” Warranty Certificate, and Rolex Submariner booklet.
This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case has been previously polished, but retains thick and even lugs, with original bevels still visible. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, marks, etc. The tritium lume is original and present on both dial and hands, aged to a gorgeous yellow. The original and period correct bezel insert is in likewise good condition, with minimal wear.
The watch comes fitted on a Rolex flip-lock thick bracelet, with 93150/593 endpieces/endlinks, 10 links in total, and with no stretch.
