Rolex “Full-Set 16528 Inverted 6” Daytona

Up for grabs is a lovely example of the incredibly popular Rolex “Zenith” Daytona, so-called for its movement made by the brand, Zenith.  Rolex introduced the automatic movement chronograph in 1987, using a movement manufactured by Zenith, as it was the industry’s only self-winding chronograph movement that met Rolex’s high quality standards.  This particular example was produced early in their production in 1991, and fitted with an early and uncommon “Inverted 6” dial, as the 6 in the bottom register was erroneously flipped, appearing as a 9.  This example comes to us straight from the original purchaser, and is complete with its original Rolex box and paperwork

This Rolex Daytona is in great vintage condition.  The case is unpolished and sharp, with original caseback sticker on the back. The dial is in mint condition, with no flaws or marks.  Likewise, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands.  The bezel shows no detail/color loss.  The Rolex gold Oyster 78668 bracelet has 10 full links and no stretch.
