Offered here is a Rolex Datejust, reference 17014, circa 1980, under the “Oysterquartz” line, made in stainless steel. These quartz watches were produced in the 1980s during the “quartz crisis”, and have risen in popularity as of late as an interesting footnote in horological history. This particular Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust features an uncommon black dial. The watch itself remains in excellent condition, with a lightly polished case (still with original bevels), and perfect dial, also maintaining its original tritium lume on both dial and hands, which has aged to a lovely yellow color. The watch is fully-linked, with 12 full links.
