Offered here is an incredible example of Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6263 (circa 1978; 5.5m serial), nicknamed the “Big Red” Daytona, due to the printing of Daytona in red. This example is outfitted with a “reverse” panda dial, black with white registers. These screwdown pusher-Daytonas have soared in popularity over the last couple decades, and are coveted by collectors, new and old.
The condition of this Daytona is excellent. The case does not show signs of overpolishing, if any at all, which thick, even and sharp lugs. The dial is in beautiful condition, with no major flaws, scratches, marks, etc. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, with extremely beautiful vibrant yellow and puffy plots, all of which are well-preserved and in-tact. The original Bakelite black bezel is likewise in great condition, with no cracks.
The watch also comes on a Rolex Oyster 78350/19 bracelet with 571 endlinks, and has 12 full links with no stretch.
