SOLD
Description
Offered here is a very rare and early example of Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6239 (circa 1964; 1.07m serial), with an uncommon “floating Cosmograph” (before the dials were marked Daytona) dial and “-T SWISS T-” signaure. This example is outfitted with a reverse-panda dial, and features pump pushers.
This Daytona is in great vintage condition. The case has been previously polished, but lightly, with thick and even lugs. The dial is in beautiful condition, with only minor wear to the hour register at 6 o’clock. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to an orange “pumpkin” color, with only minor lume loss in the 3 and 9 o’clock plots.
The watch comes equipped with a 7205 oyster bracelet, with 57 endlinks. The bracelet has noticeable stretch, and has 13 links in total.
