Rolex "1807 Bark" Day-Date

SOLD

Rolex “1807 Bark” Day-Date

SOLD

Description

This is a very beautiful example of a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt yellow gold circa 1969, with a silver dial, bearing the reference 1807, which was a specific reference of Day-Date for the “bark” finish cases. The case on this Rolex Day-Date is in excellent condition, with thick and even lugs, seemingly never polished.  The dial is extremely mint, with not a blemish visible.  The tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aged to a creamy yellow color, with puffy, full plots.  The watch comes on its original Rolex Swiss Oyster bracelet, dated to 1969, and appears full-linked with light stretch.  Further, the watch comes with its original Rolex Presidential box and Rolex Oyster booklet, showing the original date of sale in 1970 (although the papers were never filled out completely with the serial number).
