Description
Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date, reference 18038, which was transitional from the Reference 1803, introducing the “single quick-set” function, which allows the owner to quickly just the date via the crown. This example dates to 1979, and is fitted with a rare “pinball” diamond set dial, set on a lovely cream-colored lacquer dial. The watch itself is in great vintage condition. The case is sharp and appears unpolished. The dial is immaculate, with no flaws; likewise, the watch retains its original tritium lume in the hands with no loss, and aged to a nice yellow color.
