Rolex “16550 Cream Rail Dial” Explorer II

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an incredible and rare Rolex Explorer II, circa 1987, Reference 16550, with uncommon “rail” dial (meaning the bottom to lines of text line up proportionally), aged to a lovely cream color.

This Rolex Explorer II is in excellent vintage condition.  The case is unpolished and razor sharp. The dial is immaculate, with no marks, scratches, or flaws, and has aged to a lovely cream color.  Further, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a lovely off-white and creamy color.  Lastly, the watch comes fitted on its original Rolex Oyster 78360 bracelet, with 501 endlinks, and has 11 full links and almost no stretch.
