Description
Offered here is a rare Patek Phillipe, reference 3587/1, circa 1970, during what is now known of as the “quartz crisis”. Only 6000 Beta 21 movements were made, split amongst other brands, such as Rolex and Piaget; Patek utilized allegedly less than 500 of these movements. This design deviated from Patek’s usual dressed-down elegance – the watch is a staggering 43mm, and wears like a modern, contemporary watch on the wrist. This watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract of the Archives and service papers from Patek Philippe from 2012.
This Patek Phillipe Beta 21 is in excellent condition. The gold case and bracelet show little to no wear whatsoever; the bracelet had clasp extensions built into the ladder portion. The champagne sunburst dial is in great condition, with minimal wear. The original integrated bracelet will fit an approximate 7.5″ wrist.
