SOLD
Description
Offered here is an extremely rare and interesting 1940s Patek Philippe, given the reference 1408, and made in stainless steel. This particular reference was made in a square-shaped case with a squared-off lug style. The design of the crystal is extremely cool, with a curved and high-sitting presence, giving the watch a 3D effect. However, what sets this one apart is the dial, fit with ever-popular Breguet numerals. This watch is accompanied by an Extract of the Archives, confirming the production and delivery to 1943. The condition of this Patek Philippe is excellent, showing a strong case and lovely dial (with only very light patina from aging over the years), overall very well-preserved. This watch has been fit on a generic Private Eyes steel bracelet, and can be changed for a leather strap upon request.
