Description
Up for grabs is a nice example of a straight lugs Omega Speedmaster “Ed White”, so called as this was the same model worn by the famous astronaut, Mr. Ed White. This example dates to 1965, with correct serial range for the reference (105.003-65). The watch itself is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished, with original beveled edges still visible. The dial is in near-mint condition, with no marks, chips, or scratches. The lume on the dial has aged to a golden yellow color, with no loss, and a lighter, greener shade in the hands. The original “DON” (Dot Over Ninety) bezel is in clean condition, with very light wear.
