Up for grabs is a stunning and rare Mathey-Tissot triple-date moonphase chronograph, circa 1940-1950s. During the era, this was as complicated as a wristwatch could get; powered by a rare Valjoux 88, this watch features a chronograph function, and can tell you the time, day of the week, day of the month, the month, and also the phases of the moon. Housed in a 14kt Yellow Gold case and measuring 36mm excluding the crown, this watch sits large on the wrist, extended by the “Cornes de Vache” lugs.
This Mathey-Tissot is in great vintage condition. The case does not show signs of polishing or lots of wear. The dial is in good condition, with very light wear and fade, but overall very attractive.
