Description
Up for sale is an incredibly clean and attractive Heuer Autavia, housed in a 40mm “Compressor” case, the reference 2446C. This example is very well-preserved, with an early serial of 13xxxx. Further, what sets this particular example apart from others, is the fact that the original Heuer Guarantee booklet is included in the sale, almost never seen. According to the Guarantee, this watch was sold in the UK on March 17, 1969.
This Autavia is in great condition. The case is unpolished, with original bevels present, and still extremely sharp and crisp. The dial is in excellent condition, with no major flaws, and only very light wear in the right register. The original tritium lume is still present in both dial and hands, and aged to a golden yellow color.
