Description
Up for grabs is a stellar 1960s Clebar Super Compressor dive wristwatch. This watch dates to the early 1960s, as the dial is marked with radium luminescent material. The Super Compressor brevet (designed by Piquerez) ingeniously relies on outside water pressure to increase the water resistance of the case. This Clebar diver is in excellent vintage condition. The case appears unpolished and sharp. The dial is in great condition, with a light patina from the wear of radium. In the same vein, the dial still retains all of its original radium, aged to a golden orange color; the hands appear to have been relumed at some point a long time ago, and glow for a second longer than the dial when exposed to a UV light.
