Up for grabs is a beautiful 1940s “Spillmann” Anonymous chronograph. These specific cases were produced by JR Spillman in the 1940s for use by a variety of brands (e.g., Universal Geneve, Doxa, and Bovet to name a few) as a shell for their waterproof chronographs. They have gained immense popularity amongst collectors, due to their size, rarity, and the fact that they are screwback and pump-pusher chronographs. The present example is an “anonymous” chronograph, meaning the producer chose not to sign the watch, likely produced in a small batch for private use/distribution. This specific example features a gorgeous gloss-gilt two-tone dial, with a grey outer track.
