Description
Up for grabs is a Rolex Datejust, reference 1601, cased in 18kt yellow gold, circa 1974, fitted with a very rare black “onyx” dial. Stone dial Datejust and Day-Dates have soared in popularity, adding a little variance to your normal fare dials of the Datejust and Day-Date models. This particular Rolex Datejust is in great vintage condition. The case does not show signs of polishing, with thick and even lugs and strong lines. The onyx dial is perfect, with no cracks or hairlines. The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Swiss Jubilee bracelet with stretch typically found on these older Jubilee bracelets, albeit still completely in-tact; the bracelet will fit an approximate 7.3″ wrist, and is dated to 1972.
