Description
Up for grabs is a quirky 1980-1990s mid-size Royal Oak, the reference 4332BA. The 4332 was the first Royal Oak made in this mid-size 36mm fashion. The 14486 was produced for around 10 years, and just under 1000 pieces were made in total. Offered here is a solid 18kt yellow gold example, and an early one at that, with a rare dial devoid of the “Automatic” text at the bottom of the dial; similar examples can be seen in Audemars’ reference images on their Chronicles website.
The condition of this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is great. The case appears unpolished (albeit worn from use), and has developed a rich patina to parts of the gold. The original matching gold/champagne dial shows no wear or peeling, and retains its original tritium lume, matching in the hands. The bracelet will fit an approximate 7.1-7.2″ wrist.
