Up for grabs is an incredibly attractive example of the popular Rolex “Red Sub” Submariner, Reference 1680. Bearing a serial of 2.9 million, this dates the watch to 1971, and has a “feet first” “MK4” dial.
This Rolex “Red” Sub is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished and sharp, with original beveled edges, albeit lightly worn from use. The dial is beautiful, with no chips, scratches, marks, etc. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a vibrant yellow color. The watch comes on a Rolex Oyster folded-link 9315 bracelet with 380 endlinks, in nice condition with light stretch and 12 full links.
