Audemars Piguet “14790ST Yves Klein” Royal Oak

Up for grabs is a lovely Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, reference 14790ST in stainless steel, circa 1990s.  Coming in at 37mm, these watches have soared in popularity, mimicking the appearance of their larger “jumbo” counterparts, only slightly smaller, and for a fraction of the price. This particular watch is a later iteration of the 14790, with a blue ribbed dial, modern AP font, and “long indices”. However, what makes this particular Royal Oak stand out is the fact that it was fit with a rare “Yves Klein” blue dial – a royal shade of blue created by the famous artist of the same name.

Further, this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak remains in great vintage condition, retaining a strong case with nicely beveled edges, and perfect dial.  The bracelet shows almost no stretch, and appears fully-linked. The watch is accompanied by a Digital Extract of the Archives from Audemars Piguet.
