SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a stunning and very rare Longines chronograph, circa 1939, housed in an uncommon 37mm steel case, powered by the famous 13ZN movement, and fitted with an incredible rare “sandwich” dial, with cut-out numerals, giving the dial a layered — or sandwich — effect. According to Longines, it was given the reference number of 3756 and was invoiced on May 20, 1939 to Ostersetzer, their agent in Italy.
The condition of this Longines chronograph is excellent. The case is sharp and seemingly unpolished. The dial is similarly well-preserved (compared to other 13ZNs; most did not hold up well over time), with no major damage and a normal light aging/patina throughout.
