Description

Up for grabs is a lovely example of the popular Zenith chronograph, reference A277, circa 1960s.  These watches were produced in conjunction with the Movado Super Sub Sea, sharing the same case and movement, and even a similar dial layout.  This example is in excellent condition.  The case appears unpolished, with clearly defined beveled edges.  The dial is excellent, with no marks, scratches, or flaws.  The original tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aged to an off-yellow/pale-green color, as is standard for this model.  The bezel has faded to a nice lightly “ghost” blue/grey color.  Finally, the watch comes on its original Zenith ladder bracelet, produced by Gay Freres, and is dated to the 3rd quarter of 1970.
