Vetta "Two-Tone Gilt Ermetico" Chronograph

SOLD

Vetta “Two-Tone Gilt Ermetico” Chronograph

SOLD

Description

Offered here is an incredibly rare and attractive Vetta chronograph, produced circa 1950s.  This particular example is housed in a very rare high-pressure snapback waterproof case with oversized “fat” pushers.  The dial is a very rare two-tone grey/gilt dial, and stamped “Ermetico”, meaning hermetic or waterproof.  Further, at 38mm, this watch wears extremely well on the wrist.

This Vetta chronograph is in excellent vintage condition.  The case has been lightly polished in the past, but the lugs are still thick and even.  The dial is immaculate, showing virtually no flaws or fading.  Further, the watch retains its original radium lume to both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color.
