Vetta “Ermetico” Chronograph

For sale is an extremely rare Vetta “Ermetico” (or, hermetic, meaning waterproof) Chronograph, circa 1940s. These watches were made in limited numbers, employing an oversized 38mm waterproof case, not often used in this era. The watch features a stunning two-tone and tri-color dial, and is powered by the popular Valjoux 22 movement.

This Vetta Ermetico Chronograph is in great vintage condition. The case has been previously polished, but the lugs are still thick and even, and the edges have not been rounded over. The two-tone dial is lovely, with very little wear and only a light patina setting in, consistent with age.
