SOLD
Description
Offered here is an exceptional 1980s Vacheron Constantin Automatic Perpetual Calendar wristwatch, given the reference 43031J, housed in 18kt yellow gold. These watches were clearly VC’s answer to the popular Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar reference 3940 and Audemars Piguet QP references of the same era, coming in at a similar sized in 36mm. The 43031 was produced for over a decade in just yellow gold and platinum, with only a few different dial variations/colors; the present example is fitted with a popular cream-colored dial.
This Vacheron Constantin Perpetual Calendar watch is in exceptional vintage condition. First, the case is unpolished, with crisp hallmarks and serial number still strong on the outside of the caseback; the case has developed a lovely and warm patina to it. Further, the dial remains untouched, with no damage. Lastly, the watch remains on its original VC leather strap and matching VC yellow gold buckle, and comes with its original VC box (not pictured, but included).
