Universal Geneve “MK1” Space Compax

Offered here is a lovely example of a first execution (MK1) Universal Geneve Space Compax, reference 884104/01, circa 1960s. Powered by the venerable Valjoux 72, the Space Compax was marketed as one of Universal Geneve’s versatile sports chronographs.  This Universal Geneve Space Compax is in nice vintage condition. The case appears lightly polished, with sharp lines on the case; the reference and serial numbers are no longer visible on the outside of the caseback, as is common on these models due to their light engraving. The dial is mint, with no flaws. The original tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aging to a beautiful golden yellow color.

Finally, the watch is fitted on a Universal Geneve Jubilee-style bracelet, and will fit a large wrist.
