Description
This is an exceptionally rare Universal Geneve Compur, outfitted with a black gilt dial, circa the 1930s. The watch is very early, as indicated by the “UW” (Universal Watch) hallmark on the inside of the caseback and print on the bridge. This watch further stands out for the use of square hour marker indices, only seen very, very scarcely, and an inner-telemeter scale.
This Universal Geneve Compur is in great vintage condition. The steel case is unpolished and untouched. The dial is very well-preserved, with only light blemishing around the chapter ring/towards the edges of the dial.
This is an exceptionally rare watch, and finding another for sale may very well be impossible.
