SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is an extremely rare Tissot chronograph, circa 1930-1940s, likely designed for and used in military application. Fitted in an oversized, fixed-bars 38mm steel case with coin-edge or “Calatrava” bezel, this Tissot also features a very uncommon and beautiful black snail dial, with applied enamel markers.
This Tissot is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished and in excellent condition. The black dial is incredibly well preserved, with no fading or damage, and only the lightest wear, consistent with aging. Further, the watch has an inscription on the back, dating to 1939, and is likely related to the Polish Army.
