Offered here is a beautiful example of a Reference 1675, Rolex “GMT-Master”, with a Mark 1 “Long E” dial. The serial of this GMT-Master is 27xxxxx, dating this watch to 1970. The watch is a “full-set”, coming with its outer box, and “punched” warranty booklet, and “punched” chronometer certificate (I.e., “double-punched” papers), booklets, and a letter of provenance from the original owner, who used this GMT during flight operations in the Vietnam War.
The watch itself is in excellent condition. The case has been professionally polished, given incredibly sharp and beautifully beveled edges as it was from the factory. The dial is devoid of any chips, scratches, or flaws, and is in perfect condition. The original tritium lume is still present on the dial and hands, aged to a lovely pumpkin yellow color. The original “Pepsi” bezel insert has remained in excellent condition, with a light color change.
The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Swiss folded-link 7836 bracelet with 280 endlinks and dated to 1970, and has 11 full links with light stretch.
