Rolex “Full-Set MK1 1675” GMT-Master

SOLD

Description

Offered here is an exceptional example of a Reference 1675, Rolex “GMT-Master”, with a Mark 1 “Long E” dial. The serial of this GMT-Master is 27xxxxx, dating this watch to 1970.  The watch comes mega-complete, with its original Rolex box (with a sticker on the top of the box denoting that it was sold/belonging to a Lieutenant Col. Thomas J. Keck of Omaha, Nebraska, and also retaining its “1675/a/b” sticker on the side of the box), double-set of “punched” Warranty Certificates, hangtag (with serial), and booklets (as pictured).

The watch itself is in excellent condition.  The case has been professionally polished, given incredibly sharp and beautifully beveled edges as it was from the factory.  The dial is devoid of any chips, scratches, or flaws, and is in perfect condition.  The original tritium lume is still present on the dial and hands, aged to a lovely and vibrant yellow color. The original “Pepsi” bezel insert has remained in excellent condition, with a light color change/fade.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Oyster 7836 folded-link bracelet with 280 endlinks, and has 13 full links with very light stretch, and dating to 1971.  Overall, this is an exceptional example of a Mark 1 matte-dial GMT-Master, and a very complete kit worthy of any serious collector.
