Patek Philippe “Radium Breguet 565J” Calatrava

Offered here is an exceptionally rare waterproof Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 565, in 18kt yellow gold.  The reference 565 is beloved by collectors for its screwback, waterproof case and larger (for the era) case size, coming in at 35mm.  This particular Calatrava is extra special, fitted with an incredibly uncommon radium lume dial with applied Breguet markers, a favorite amongst collectors.  The watch comes with an Extract of the Archives, confirming the rare dial configuration, and dating production of the watch to 1942.

Further, this Patek Philippe Calatrava is in great vintage condition.  The case has been lightly polished in the past, with thick and even lugs, retaining a sharp and crisp hallmark under the crown.  The dial has been lightly refreshed in the past, likely by Patek themselves, and retains a strong hard enamel accent, overall in lovely condition.  Finally, the watch retains its original radium lume on the dial, and the hands appear to have been relumed a long time ago in the past.
