This is an attractive example of an Omega “Pre-Moon” Speedmaster, dating per the caseback to 1969 (stamped 145.022-69). This example features a rare “220” bezel, which was allegedly only produced in limited quantities for the year 1969 production.
This Omega Speedmaster is in great condition. The case is unpolished and has only minor surface scratches, consistent with age/wear. The dial is in great shape, free of blemishes, chips, etc., virtually untouched. The original lume on the dial has fallen off at the 6 and 7 o’clock markers, and the hands have been professionally relumed to match the dial. The “220” bezel is in excellent condition, aging to a dark blue hue.
The bracelet on this watch is an aftermarket JB Champion beads-of-rice bracelet. The serial is a 3.0 million serial, and correct range for a -69.
