This is a mint example of a first execution Heuer Autavia GMT, Ref. 2446. The watch has a low serial of 109xxx. This example is a Mark 1 or “First Execution” Autavia 2446C GMT, notably featuring polished steel hands with luminous inserts and smaller registers. Also, the chronograph second hand is white, the watch has smooth pushers, and “T” above “SWISS” in the hour register.
The watch is in excellent condition, with a beautiful faded “pepsi” bezel. The dial is near perfect, with only minor degradation between the 11 and 12 o’clock markers. The case is unpolished. The lume has aged to a lovely cream-brown color.
Also included with the watch is the original Gay Freres Heuer-signed bracelet, which may be even rarer than the watch itself.
This reference has soared in popularity as of late, and finding nice examples is not easy.
